Narda called meeting to order around 6:00 pm. She opened with a few thoughts about clearing out, cleaning up, using up our stash and tools...good discussion!

GUEST SPEAKER - Bailey Earith from Maryville, TN
Had an interesting guest speak to the guild about her works of art. She is a retired Occupational Therapist who loves teaching others about how to use textured elements in their work, She teaches 350 or so students a week how to complete recycled art projects. She brought some examples of her work for us to enjoy. Some interest has been expressed about having her teach a workshop for us. Stay tuned!

Block Drawing/Fat Quarter Exchange - Cindy Conrad
* Block exchange - Gosling Go Round - Nancy Rayside won the blocks!
* Charm square exchange - 3 groups of 7 (320 squares per group) winners were: Debbie Roby, Karen Larabee and Pat Lakers
Hospitality House Challenge - Allison Darken
The theme for this year is "Let the Sun Shine In". These quilts (minimum size is 50" x 60") are due on Tuesday, August 14th at 6:00pm. Allison asked for a show of hands to indicate how many are planning on donating a quilt for the Hospitality House. Looks like we will have about 20 quilts. Please see Allison Darken if you have questions.

Pillowcases for Children's Hospital - Lynda McLaren
The pillowcase project is off to a good start this year! Can turn in anytime although they are due in November! Use any method you like to construct the pillowcases but if you need instructions be sure to ask Lynda! Also check out the table Lynda provide for this project!

WORKSHOPS/CLASSES/EXHIBITS
Atlantic Fly Away - A class being taught by Anita Chaisty is planned for June 23 at the Civic Center. Signups are going on now. The pattern is called Atlantic Fly Away and it uses the Wing Clipper Ruler by Deb Tucker.
