Narda introduced creative exercise by telling a story - worked in teams. Each team created a quilt using a picture from Magazine - color, shape, etc.

We now have 73 paid members - we are limited to 80
Had signup for "food volunteers" -

We will be asking for food volunteers again in May and later on through out the year
Bags for Beads of Courage - Sassy Foster and Pat Lakers
Sassy collected bead bags for children from the kits distributed at an earlier meeting. Thanks ladies for organizing this effort!

Blocks were divided into 2 groups of 8 - winners were Narda and Jennifer Thien

Hospitality House Challenge - Allison Darken
The theme for this year is "Let the Sun Shine In". These quilts (minimum size is 50" x 60") are due on Tuesday, August 14th at 6:00pm. An information sheet was handed out for all members who are interested in participating. No meeting, refreshments and quilts only. Will be some nice prizes. Contest is based on the theme. Please see Allison Darken if you have questions.
Celia handed out Clue 2. She says this quilt will be a perfect size for a Child Advocacy Quilt or for the Hospitality House...sounds interesting!
Pillowcases for Children's Hospital - Lynda McLaren
Lynda says the pillowcase project is off to a good start this year! 11 have been turned in. Can turn in anytime although these are due in November! Last year our guild donated 288 pillowcases to Children's Hospital. You any method you like but if you need instructions be sure to ask Lynda!
Pin Money Sale - April Meeting
Bring cash! Sellers bring your own change. The Norris Guild will join us for the Pin Money Sale and refreshments. Good way to do some down-sizing and help out our Guild!
Scrap Quilt Challenge - Narda Hipsher

WORKSHOPS/CLASSES/EXHIBITS
Atlantic Fly Away - A class being taught by Anita Chaisty is planned for June 23 at the Civic Center. Signups are going on now. The pattern is called Atlantic Fly Away and it uses the Wing Clipper Ruler by Deb Tucker.

Class sign ups started for a mesh bag to be taught by Sassy Foster in May. Must pay 1st to sign up.
Quilt Exhibit being planned for 2019
